VetterPrompter
I wanted a teleprompter that did not need an app, an account, or a backend. Something I could open, paste a script into, tune the speed, and start using.
VetterPrompter is deliberately small: play/pause, forward and backward movement, adjustable speed and text size, a few readable font choices, and keyboard controls for the things I want to change while speaking.
A surprisingly important detail was smooth low-speed scrolling. Fractional movement is kept between frames, so slow speeds remain steady instead of turning into visible jumps. The script and display settings are stored locally, which also makes the static GitHub Pages version enough for everyday use.
